The integration of effective technology allows students to continue their education and stay focused on their individual goals because it allows convenience. Motivators help but technology helps the motivation exist. It also allows a student to be more prepared for the world we live in today where everything is connected to some form of technology. Technology offers us social media such as Twitter and Facebook, and gives us programs that we can use to help solve problems and look up definitions like, Google. As far as Post Universities’ online program is concerned, participation and performance are able to be viewed and monitored because grades and feedback from the professors is posted weekly throughout each student’s course. There is also the tool used for students to interact with one another in class and it is the Discussion boards. There are no live classrooms or set login times so with the availability of technology students are able to make their own schedule with set deadline and interact with their fellow peers. “For student performance to approximate student potential, students need access to a constantly evolving array of technological tools and activities that demand problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and innovation.,”(Blair 2012). The pros are convenience, flexibility, knowledge, and achievement. The obstacles might be when someone loses power or the electronic device they are using breaks on them. These are obstacles in which unfortunate, we have no control over most of the time.
